The Stylish Events Team

Established in 2002, Stylish Events is one of London’s longest running, independent, luxury wedding planning and event management companies.

We work closely with clients to design their dream weddings and provide an amazing service - we always strive to go above and beyond your expectations.

We believe the key to creating a stylish event is in the organisation. Acting as your project managers, we will plan and design your wedding or event to your specification.

Whatever the size, your wedding or event will be carefully planned, well organised and arranged with meticulous attention to detail.

Dominique Douglas, Director 

For the past 25 years Dominique has been involved in planning events.

She moved to London from Perth, Australia in 1991, where she was an event organiser for the Australian Red Cross Society. Over the next 10 years she was Head of Marketing for three commercial law firms.

In the last 15 years she has planned and styled many spectacular events for her private and corporate clients.

A specialist in planning weddings in London and the Home Counties, Dominique has also arranged weddings in Italy, the Caribbean and other fabulous overseas destinations.

Dominique grew up in Nigeria and Australia and has lived in London for 25 years. She travels to Italy at least 3 times a year to visit some of the most spectacular wedding venues in the country and meet with the best wedding suppliers.

Since 2012, Dominique has run monthly workshops training aspiring wedding planners on the realities of being a wedding planner. She is a visiting speaker at a number of UK Universities running event management degree courses and has travelled to Beijing to teach Chinese Wedding Planners about European Weddings. 

Stylish Events is proud to be a member of the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners and in March 2014, Dominique was appointed joint Regional Ambassador for London & South East for the UKAWP.



Dominique is the co-author, with Bernadette Chapman of Dream Occasions and a Director of the UKAWP, of "Wedding Planning for Dummies UK". The book was launched on the UK market on 29th April 2014. Please click on the book image below for further details.

Anna Petterle,  Consultant and Italian Wedding Planner

 

Anna is an Italian living in London. At Stylish Events she works on specific projects, including planning and executing wedding and events, both in the UK and Italy. She is a lead planner and team leader on the day of our weddings.

In July 2013, she made a life changing decision to leave her scientific career to pursue her passion and begin the career she has always dreamed of - event management and planning. As a first step, she attended two top wedding planning courses in London, the first with Niemierko and then with Stylish Events (our Life of a Wedding Planner course).

In July 2014 she was selected for a four month Internship with Stylish Events, after moving from Sweden to London.

During the first weeks of her Internship she was appointed as the Event Manager for the Italian Destination Wedding Show, where she was involved in the sales, marketing and promotion of the event and played a crucial role in its success.

At the end of her Internship Anna was asked to stay with us as a consultant as we did not want to lose her talents.

Anna is a noted wedding stylist and has her own wedding styling business, Snowdrops Weddings and Events. She has styled wedding photo shoots at Il Borro, the famous Ferragamo Estate and Villa Mangiacane, both in Tuscany,  and Hotel Ca' Sagredo in Venice. Her wedding projects have appeared on Love My Dress and other high profile wedding blogs.

Our Current Interns

We strongly believe in sharing knowledge - in fact, in our experience, the more you share, the more you learn. So in 2009 we set up an Internship programme. We have up to two Interns working with us at any one time. Our current Interns are Sara and Ellie.
