| Lucia Silver at The State of Grace |
As a wedding planner I have worked with many fabulous dress designers. I first met Lucia when my daughter-in-law asked her to make a bespoke wedding gown. The dress was perfect and I have never seen Emma looking so beautiful, happy and confident as on her wedding day.
Lucia and I instantly realised we had similar sensibilities when it came to providing a truly personal service to our clients. I was delighted to work with Lucia to produce the State of Grace Launch Bridal Event at Home House. She is divinely talented, completely dedicated and enviably graceful.
I would recommend her to an bride who wants to be elegant, glamorous and totally unique.

The Flowers
| Mathew Dickinson Flowers |
Mathew is a true artist and creates some of the most elegant flowers I have ever seen. However, what I love most about Mathew though is how dedicated he is. Always the first one there on the day of an event and ususally the to last leave, making sure that everything is perfect for his clients. It’s this sort of service that sets him apart from other florists.

The Venue
Some of my favourites
As a wedding planner in London I have worked with and viewed some amazing venues. I have tried to select my favourites with the thought of "where would I choose if I was planning my wedding again":
The Lansdowne Club (www.lansdowneclub.com)
Lucy and Inga are so delightful to work with and the venue is quite beautiful. They have a fantastic wedding package that really is one of the best I have come across. It was an absolute pleasure to hold an event there, the team are so helpful and efficient.

Kew Gardens (www.kew.org/venues/weddings.html)
If your dream is to get married somewhere incredibly special, surrounded by stunning scenery then Kew Gardens may be your dream venue. So many options to choose from and each one as lovely as the other. Not for the small budget, but very special.
Madame Tussauds (www.madametussauds.com)
For me this is the ultimate party venue. Perhaps not an obvious choice for a wedding reception, but it's a great place to really have fun and keep your guests entertained all night.
The Ritz (www.theritzlondon.com/banqueting/weddings-en.html)
If you want opulance, then the Ritz does it best. Whether it's the Louis XVI interiors of The Ritz itself, or the restored 18th century splendour of adjoining William Kent House, it truely takes my breath away. It can only accommodate smaller weddings and special events, but for you and your guests it will be an evening to remember forever.
The Pavilion at The Tower of London (www.the-ultimate.co.uk/venue/tower-of-london-moat)
I attended the launch party in June 2011 and I was very impressed with the team and the venue. Great setting and so many options, paticularly for a large corporate event.

The Photographer
Adrian Neal, The Studio Without Walls
I have worked with many photographers over the years, but without doubt my favourite is Adrian. There is something about the way he takes the photos, there is so much attention to detail and he makes everything look so magical. In addition, and this is a big bonus, he is delightful to work with. I can highly recommend him.

The Music
Vilensky Event Music
The music is delightful but the thing I like most is how lovely Anna and her team are to work with - reliable, charming and talented. A wonderful combination.

The Honeymoon
Dar Jaguar, Marrakech
Whether you are seeking the colourful local nightlife of the medina or the sophisticated restaurants, bars and clubs of Gueliz, Marrakech is an amazing city to visit and Dar Jaguar is the perfect honeymoon destination.
The bedrooms are exquisitely decorated by the talented and chic Lucia Silver, the staff are delightful and the Riad is a serene oasis from the hustle and bustle of the City.
My husband and I spent an amazing weekend there for our Anniversary and I cannot recommend it more. Very romantic and completely intoxicating.

Bali Emerald Villa
If you fancy travelling a bit further then I can highly recommend the Emerald Villa on the island of Bali.
Situated in a private complex, each villa is elegant and serene. The Emerald Villa is perfectly located in Sanur (a 5 minute walk to the beach and 20-minute car drive from the airport).
You can rent a private villa with 2 or 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and your own pool and garden. It is just a perfect location for a honeymoon or special holiday. Well worth the plane journey.

The Hair and Make Up
I have worked with many professionals over the years, but two stand out as they always do fantastic work for my clients and achieve exactly the look they want.
Janice Tee
Janice has over 30 years experience. She has worked for some of London’s top hair salons, including Lee Staffords and Aveda at Harvey Nichols.
She is a professional makeup artist and hair stylist and has done many catwalk shows, films and magazine photo shoots. She regularly appears at hair exhibitions and was recently nominated for Norwegian Hair Dresser of the Year whilst working in Oslo for a client. Janice now works at Fordham’s in Soho, London.

Natalie at The Hair Secret
Natalie is the salon owner and also the resident organic colour specialist. She has worked in the hair industry for over 11 years and in this time has worked on films such as Harry Potter. She has worked on three of my brides and they have all been delighted.

Entertaining the Children
Many of my clients want to have children attend their wedding, but would like to give their parents a little time off, particularly during the dinner.
The perfect answer is to have a children's entertainer.
I recently worked with Jojo of Jojo's Travelling Minstrels and I cannot recommend her more. The children loved her and they did not want her to leave. I don't know how she does it, but she certainly has a gift.
